This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Offer essential support in managing Head Start and Early Head Start grant initiatives.
• Perform precise and prompt analysis and evaluation of funding proposals in line with established Regional Office timelines and protocols.
• Analyze and assess recipient program performance reports, incident reports, complaints, information, and indicators.
• Deliver accurate and timely regulatory and policy guidance to Head Start recipients.
• Collaborate with Regional Management (RPM & SPS), Training & Technical Assistance (TTA), and Grants Specialist personnel on all recipient casework.
• Hold monthly discussions with recipients and Regional Grants Specialists regarding Checkpoint Data, Self-Assessments, Enrollment, Staff Salaries and Retention, Community Assessments, Continuous Improvements, Transitions, and other recipient-specific matters.
• Engage in all mandatory Regional meetings and conferences.
• Perform annual site evaluations for recipients as part of the five-year monitoring cycle for grant oversight, following Regional Office guidelines.
• Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education, human services, public administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive professional experience directly related to early childhood programs, preferably within Head Start/Early Head Start.
• Proven ability to effectively utilize various web-based and commercially available data management software.
• Demonstrated capability to aggregate, analyze, and present data collected from multiple sources.
• Expertise in the federal monitoring of early childhood programs.
• Familiarity with federal grant guidelines and the Federal Grant Life Cycle is preferred.
• Strong skills in organization, administration, and project coordination.
• Proficiency in computer usage, the Internet, and general skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and operate web-based systems, such as those utilized by the Office of Head Start, is also required.
