Head of Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Establish and enhance the company’s security function from inception;

• Develop and execute security processes, policies, and operational standards;

• Collaborate with the group-level security department while creating independent security ownership within Label Your Data;

• Engage in security audits, client security assessments, DPA processes, questionnaires, and compliance-related activities;

• Create and refine access management and security monitoring practices;

• Take part in infrastructure and application security initiatives alongside technical teams;

• Manage and optimize the company’s security stack (EDR, SIEM, VPN/ZTNA, DLP, NGFW, etc.);

• Analyze security vulnerabilities, operational deficiencies, and incident-related risks;

• Assess technical solutions from a security standpoint;

• Develop SOPs, internal security protocols, and operational frameworks;

• Maintain security-related documentation and internal processes;

• Shape the future security team, beginning with Security Operations / Application Security;

• Contribute to the long-term security strategy and overall security maturity advancement of the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Security, or related fields;

• Essential experience working within IT / tech / B2B environments;

• Strong practical knowledge of contemporary security practices and technologies;

• Ability to function both strategically and in hands-on capacities;

• Strong sense of ownership and capability to work independently;

• Experience with security tools such as EDR, SIEM, NGFW, VPN/ZTNA, DLP, IAM, or similar systems;

• Background in security audits, compliance processes, or enterprise security assessments;

• Understanding of security governance, access management, and risk management principles;

• Experience in building or enhancing security processes in evolving environments.
