Head of Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and establish the company's security function from its inception;

• Identify and execute security processes, policies, and operational standards;

• Collaborate with the group-level security department while creating independent security ownership at Label Your Data;

• Engage in security audits, client security assessments, DPA processes, questionnaires, and compliance-related tasks;

• Establish and enhance access management and security monitoring practices;

• Contribute to infrastructure and application security initiatives alongside technical teams;

• Manage and enhance the company's security suite (EDR, SIEM, VPN/ZTNA, DLP, NGFW, etc.);

• Analyze security vulnerabilities, operational shortcomings, and risks associated with incidents;

• Assess technical solutions from a security standpoint;

• Develop SOPs, internal security protocols, and operational frameworks;

• Maintain security-related documentation and internal processes;

• Shape the future of the security team, beginning with Security Operations / Application Security;

• Contribute to the long-term security strategy and enhance the overall security maturity of the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Security, or similar fields;

• Essential experience in IT / tech / B2B environments;

• Strong practical understanding of contemporary security practices and technologies;

• Capability to operate both strategically and with a hands-on approach;

• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently;

• Experience with security tools such as EDR, SIEM, NGFW, VPN/ZTNA, DLP, IAM, or related systems;

• Background in participating in security audits, compliance processes, or enterprise security evaluations;

• Knowledge of security governance, access management, and risk management principles;

• Experience in establishing or refining security processes in evolving environments.
