Head of Publishing, PC Games

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee Spicy Koala, Yodo1’s PC publishing label — taking charge of the strategy, launches, pipeline, and team from inception.

• Define the strategy. Establish the vision, positioning, and business model for Spicy Koala — determining our publication focus, target audience, and unique offerings as a PC publisher.

• Create the business framework. Construct the operational essentials — processes, budgets, P&L, tools, and partnerships — required to establish a publishing label from the ground up.

• Successfully launch our signed titles. Manage the go-to-market strategy for the games in our pipeline: including store presence and wish-listing, marketing, community engagement, PR, platform relations, and execution of launches.

• Assemble the team. Identify necessary roles, recruit a talented founding team, and lead them as the label expands.

• Manage the financials. Assume complete P&L responsibility for the publishing business, setting and achieving revenue and profitability goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in game publishing, particularly with senior oversight of PC titles and a proven record of successful launches.

• In-depth knowledge of the PC publishing ecosystem — including storefronts, wishlisting, launch marketing, community management, and platform relations.

• Experience in managing and/or coordinating the entire publishing process for a game: from marketing and go-to-market strategies to production and platform relations.

• Ability to identify market trends related to player preferences.

• Strong business acumen and P&L orientation, with the capacity to make decisions grounded in thorough data analysis and strategic prioritization.

• Proven experience in building and leading teams.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of inspiring teams across various countries and time zones.
