Head of Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and execution of strategies aimed at improving design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.

• Assist in ensuring adherence to nuclear industry regulations.

• Cultivate a culture focused on hardware excellence.

• Emphasize strategic oversight, knowledge sharing, and cross-departmental collaboration to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

• Serve as a change leader, mentoring teams and utilizing digital tools to foster sustainable improvements.

• Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy that aligns with business goals.

• Spearhead initiatives for process improvement using methodologies that boost productivity.

• Encourage the application of best practices and innovations throughout manufacturing locations.

• Mentor and guide design and manufacturing teams.

• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety culture and regulatory standards.

• Work alongside senior leadership to establish improvement goals and provide progress updates.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and capability enhancement.

• Oversee project portfolios, budgets, and timelines for excellence initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in design, prototyping, and manufacturing operations, ideally in the nuclear, energy, or highly regulated sectors, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or excellence-oriented position.

• Proven track record in leading teams, coaching cross-functional groups, and facilitating cultural transformation.

• Expertise in CAD design tools.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills, with experience in presenting to senior leadership.

• Openness to travel for site visits, audits, or team collaboration.
