This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the vision and roadmap for the enterprise data platform focused on Snowflake.
• Define and uphold both logical and physical data architecture, including raw, staging, and curated layers.
• Set platform standards for data ingestion, modeling, and consumption.
• Ensure the platform is prepared for Business Intelligence, analytics, and AI/ML applications.
• Have executive oversight of Snowflake environments, security frameworks, and cost management.
• Establish best practices for ingestion pipelines, schema design, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with the Security and IT departments on privacy, compliance, and data protection initiatives.
• Lead a small yet impactful Data Platform team consisting of 6–8 members.
• Supervise the ingestion of data from enterprise systems such as registration, eCommerce, finance, inventory, and CRM.
• Ensure the creation of reliable, testable, and thoroughly documented data pipelines.
• Set development standards, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes, and operational support models.
• Manage the data and analytics foundation for key Enterprise KPIs.
• Collaborate with business leaders to define, standardize, and validate enterprise metrics.
• Create authoritative data models and semantic definitions within Snowflake.
• Ensure that executive dashboards utilize certified and governed datasets.
• Oversee data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and metric integrity.
• Facilitate scalable self-service analytics while implementing strong governance measures.
• Serve as the sole point of accountability for the integrity of enterprise KPI data.
• Align platform priorities with executive reporting and strategic initiatives.
• Present the platform's readiness, risks, and KPI trust indicators to leadership.
• Collaborate with the Business Intelligence and Finance teams to refine KPI definitions over time.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, or related fields.
• 5+ years in technical leadership or people management positions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake in an enterprise context.
• Strong understanding of cloud data architecture, governance, and the enablement of analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Finance and business stakeholders.
