This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Convert the momentum of free users in schools into sales-ready leads for CommonLit’s Sales team.
• Generate leads through outbound strategies aimed at schools and districts that are not familiar with CommonLit.
• Develop and sustain a lead-generation infrastructure across web, email, and paid channels.
• Take ownership of the lead-generation strategy across web, email, paid social, and Google Ads, which includes building, quality assurance, monitoring, and reporting.
• Collaborate with the Product Marketer and Revenue Operations Specialist on in-product lead generation.
• Oversee segments of the marketing technology stack, including the CommonLit blog platform and Webflow.
• Work together on lead-generation initiatives through blogs, newsletters, and conference activities.
• Utilize district usage profiles to create targeted regional outreach, state pages, and referral strategies.
• Design usage-based campaigns linked to teacher and district adoption signals.
• Establish CommonLit’s AEO/SEO strategy for both traditional search and AI-powered answer engines.
• Create competitor-facing pages and email campaigns by leveraging competitor intelligence.
• Collaborate across functions with marketing and revenue operations teams on conversion campaigns, testimonials, HubSpot infrastructure, and lead workflows.
• Set lead targets and report on leads generated by channel.
• Provide reports on web, email, social, Google Ads, organic search, AI-search visibility, keyword rankings, and answer-engine citations.
• Experiment with new channels and approaches, discontinuing underperforming initiatives.
• Undertake additional projects as assigned by the team.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 4–7 years of experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or performance marketing is necessary.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Proficient in HubSpot or a similar marketing automation/CRM platform.
• Experienced with Google Ads, LinkedIn, Reddit, and other advertising platforms.
• Knowledgeable in Webflow or an equivalent web page building platform.
• Familiar with PostHog and Looker or comparable analytics tools.
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals is essential.
• Comfortable using or willing to learn Salesforce, Notion, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and related collaboration tools.
• Capable of building and interpreting spreadsheet reports, including data exports from usage and CRM platforms.
• Experience translating product usage signals into sales pipeline is highly preferred.
• Background in creating competitor-facing content is preferred.
• Familiarity with LLMs is preferred; experience using Claude is highly favored.
• Basic knowledge of AEO fundamentals is preferred.
• Alignment with CommonLit’s mission is important.
• Ability to leverage data for identifying conversion signals and crafting campaigns.
• Possess a builder’s mindset for establishing new initiatives such as regional outreach, AEO, and competitor strategy.
