Group Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Drive the delivery of Quality Medicine and ensure Patient Safety.

• Maintain a consistent provision of high-quality, evidence-based care throughout hospitals.

• Coach and develop Medical Directors through record assessments, hospital visits, and real-time feedback.

• Advocate for patient safety initiatives, including event reporting and ongoing improvement efforts.

• Support the integration of new medical advancements, care standards, and clinical best practices.

• Collaborate with teams to enhance client communication, case management, and follow-up care.

• Oversee the quality of medical records, equipment standards, and clinical compliance.

• Address and resolve medical-related client issues and board complaints.

• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and psychological safety.

• Collaborate with Field Leadership, Medical Affairs, and operations to align priorities and execution strategies.

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding veterinarians, including new graduates.

• Proactively identify and manage medical, staffing, and operational challenges.

• Act as the medical representative within the field leadership team.

• Mentor and develop Medical Directors and veterinarians through coaching and development planning.

• Facilitate the onboarding, training, and integration of new doctors.

• Guide teams in enhancing efficiency, productivity, and team-based care delivery.

• Foster an environment that encourages continuous learning and career advancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent qualification.

• Active veterinary license (or the ability to obtain one in assigned states).

• Over 8 years of experience in veterinary practice.

• More than 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience.

• Specialty board certification or advanced clinical training is preferred.

• Experience leading across multiple hospitals or locations is preferred.

• Involvement in professional veterinary organizations is preferred.
