Graphic Designer – Global Scientific Publications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design and format intricate scientific PowerPoint presentations in accordance with brand and style guidelines.

• Develop icons, graphics, data tables, figures, custom builds, infographics, and graphical abstracts for scientific presentations and publications.

• Create, layout, and format scientific posters in InDesign, adhering to brand and style standards.

• Produce complex and customized scientific icons and graphics.

• Design, create, and manage templates efficiently.

• Accurately develop assets within the designated timeframes.

• Adhere to set deadlines or communicate with project owners regarding delays or the need for extensions.

• Manage and prioritize project workload to enhance individual and team productivity.

• Organize email and work requests, focusing on urgent matters impacting teams or projects.

• Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to communication, process consistency, and team insights.

• Anticipate project requirements and proactively offer expertise and solutions.

• Collaborate closely with the medical writing team to ensure medical accuracy and alignment with project objectives.

• Work in partnership with colleagues and internal stakeholders while managing project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in design or communications preferred.

• At least 3–5 years of relevant graphic design experience.

• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector is strongly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

• Familiarity with editorial design, information graphics, data visualization, and typography.

• Strong design thinking skills and appropriate design judgment for scientific and medical audiences.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a creative, team-oriented, and deadline-driven environment.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Capable of collaborating within a team and seeking clarity in ambiguous situations.

• Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

• Good judgment and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to interpret and convey ideas to colleagues effectively.

• Capacity to devise solutions for problems of moderate complexity and scope.

• Ability to work independently with a keen attention to detail while managing projects within defined timelines.
