This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Collaborate with senior personnel, the Director of Grants, fellow grant writers, and the administrative team to produce high-quality proposals throughout the entire development process: project design and development, document preparation, and submission.
• Manage multiple proposal projects concurrently, ensuring high standards and adherence to tight deadlines.
• Compose intricate technical narratives, work plans, budget justifications, letters of commitment, and other essential components for EU, national, and other public funding programs.
• Perform external research, including utilizing peer-reviewed sources, and gather internal data to enrich content for proposals.
• Act as a strategic advisor to client teams, refining project scope, commercialization strategies, business development approaches, fundraising tactics, and organizational positioning prior to drafting, ensuring proposals encapsulate a compelling funding strategy rather than merely compliant documentation.
• Engage with external partners and stakeholders to facilitate proposal development and consortium building.
• Bachelor’s degree (or its international equivalent).
• Proficiency in English.
• At least six years of grant writing experience, with a minimum of three years serving as the lead writer on successfully funded grant proposals.
• Strong scientific or technical expertise pertinent to climate solutions.
• Proven experience in securing grants from EU funding bodies, including but not limited to Horizon Europe, the European Innovation Council (EIC), the EU Innovation Fund, and the LIFE Programme.
• Clear and persuasive writing style, demonstrating exceptional grammar and research capabilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other standard writing and collaborative content development tools.
• Ability to uphold project timelines and deadlines.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a dynamic startup environment.
• Possess the equipment, technical skills, flexibility, and temperament necessary to work fully remotely with intercontinental teams and clients, including weekday availability for project communications.
