Grant Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior staff, the Director of Grants, fellow grant writers, and the administrative team to produce high-quality proposals throughout the entire development process.

• Manage multiple proposal projects at once, ensuring quality and adherence to tight deadlines.

• Compose complex technical narratives, work plans, budget justifications, letters of commitment, and other essential components for federal, state, and various public funding initiatives.

• Perform external research, including peer-reviewed sources, and collect internal data to enrich proposal content.

• Act as a strategic advisor to client teams, enhancing project scope, commercialization strategies, business development plans, fundraising approaches, and organizational positioning prior to drafting.

• Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to aid in proposal development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent international qualification).

• Proficiency in English.

• At least six years of grant writing experience, including a minimum of three years as the primary writer for funded grant proposals.

• Strong scientific or technical understanding related to climate solutions.

• Proven experience in securing grants from climate-focused federal and state agencies.

• A clear and persuasive writing style, complemented by exceptional grammar and research abilities.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other standard writing and collaborative content development tools.

• Ability to manage project timelines and meet deadlines.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently in a dynamic startup setting.

• Necessary equipment, technical skills, adaptability, and disposition to work entirely remotely.
