This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with climate innovators to create competitive submissions for federal and provincial grant funding.
• Provide guidance to clients on project design and commercialization strategies.
• Develop partnership strategies aimed at enhancing funding success.
• Coordinate with senior staff and administrative teams to ensure high-quality proposals navigate the development process effectively.
• Manage multiple proposal projects concurrently, ensuring quality and adherence to tight deadlines.
• Craft intricate technical narratives, work plans, budget justifications, and other essential components of public funding programs.
• Perform research and collect internal data to support proposal development.
• Act as a strategic advisor to client teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• At least six years of grant writing experience, with a minimum of three years serving as the lead writer on funded grant proposals.
• Strong scientific or technical expertise pertinent to climate solutions.
• Proven success in obtaining grants from climate-oriented federal and provincial agencies.
• Exceptional writing skills, characterized by clarity and compelling expression, along with excellent grammar and research capabilities.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Capability to uphold project timelines and deadlines.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently in a dynamic startup setting.
• Passionate about the mission, with a solid understanding of the urgency surrounding the climate crisis.
• A graduate degree is preferred; bilingual writing proficiency is also a plus.
