This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Prepare monthly allocations for program development and ensure accurate recording and support.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of deferred revenue and investigate any discrepancies found.
• Carry out the initial review of monthly revenue for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with grant terms and accounting policies.
• Oversee and manage the financial aspects of grants and contracts.
• Ensure all grant requirements are met, including financial reporting, budget constraints, and allowable costs.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all financial transactions related to grants.
• Prepare and submit timely and precise financial reports to grantors and funding agencies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide financial data and analysis to program leadership and the finance team as required.
• Aid in the development of grant budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and conduct variance analysis.
• Collaborate with program managers to ensure adherence to the budget and identify potential financial issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) for federal grants.
• Prepare for and assist with grant audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Serve as a resource for other grant accountants by offering guidance on procedures, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Track and report on both restricted and unrestricted funds.
• Prepare and submit invoices and reimbursement requests to grantors.
• Manage the financial closeout process for grants and contracts.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls related to grant management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Process grant-related invoices and payments promptly and accurately.
• Manage grant receivables, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate closely with program leadership, finance team members, and other stakeholders to support grant administration.
• Effectively communicate grant-related financial information to relevant parties in a clear and concise manner.
• Preferred experience in grant billing of 3-4 years.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with General Ledger.
• Experience in providing guidance or day-to-day support to other accounting staff.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and rectify discrepancies.
