Graduate Architectural Assistant / Junior, Architectural Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Convert conceptual sketches into precise 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D Revit models

• Create drawing packages for planning submissions

• Transform planning drawings into Building Regulations and construction documentation

• Generate diagrams, graphics, and presentation materials

• Support the preparation of client, planning, and Building Regulations submission packages

• Investigate planning policies, Building Regulations, and construction materials

• Assemble supporting reports, specifications, and appendices

• Participate in virtual project meetings, take notes, and document agreed actions

• Collaborate closely with the Project Architect to ensure timely and accurate deliverables

• Manage deadlines and work in tandem with the Project Architect and broader team in a remote setting

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or relevant qualification in architecture, architectural technology, or a similar field

• Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit

• Strong skills in technical drawing and design presentations

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

• Capability to effectively manage tasks while working remotely

• Eagerness to enhance understanding of UK planning regulations and Building Regulations

• Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with the Project Architect and the wider team

• Desirable: experience with Rhino or SketchUp

• Desirable: familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop

• Desirable: experience in preparing UK planning or Building Regulations submissions

• Desirable: knowledge of construction methods and building materials

• Desirable: prior experience in an architectural practice
