This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Provide assistance with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act program operations, which includes conducting records searches, gathering documents, tracking progress, coordinating activities, and offering administrative processing support.
• Support records management functions such as conducting inventories, developing file plans, creating retention schedules, executing records disposition, classifying records, and managing the records lifecycle.
• Assist with Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) program operations, including organizing meetings, maintaining records, managing documentation, supporting committees, tracking action items, and ensuring administrative compliance.
• Review, classify, and organize various forms of correspondence, reports, briefing materials, meeting documents, and other program records.
• Monitor assignments, milestones, action items, and deliverables utilizing Government-approved systems and tools.
• Perform research and analysis of Federal regulations, policies, directives, and guidance pertaining to records management, FOIA, FACA, Privacy Act, and information governance.
• Create, revise, and sustain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, reports, status updates, and briefing materials.
• Assist in content management and information organization initiatives, such as maintaining SharePoint and electronic document repositories.
• Help identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and program effectiveness.
• Engage in meetings and working groups, documenting minutes, decisions, and action items.
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports, metrics, and management summaries.
• Support transition planning, knowledge transfer initiatives, and continuity of operations efforts.
• Review electronic documents, presentations, spreadsheets, PDFs, and web content for compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Conduct accessibility testing and validation utilizing both automated and manual review techniques.
• Assist with document remediation tasks to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
• Verify accessibility features, including document structure, heading hierarchy, alternative text, table formatting, reading order, hyperlinks, and color contrast requirements.
• Facilitate the development and dissemination of accessible electronic information and content.
• Stay informed about current Federal accessibility standards, guidance, and best practices.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in supporting Federal Government programs, records management, information management, FOIA, administrative operations, content management, correspondence management, or similar business functions.
• Experience in records management, information governance, correspondence management, document management, or administrative support activities.
• Proven experience in research, analysis, documentation development, and report preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong skills in organization, analysis, and problem-solving.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
