Governança de Dados Senior – Plataforma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Structure and enhance governance practices integrated with data pipelines and architecture.

• Ensure the automated application of quality, security, and compliance policies within data flows.

• Establish standards for data ingestion, transformation, and availability.

• Define and implement governance policies aligned with frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM.

• Translate regulatory requirements (LGPD, PCI) into operational controls on the platform.

• Set criteria for data classification, retention, and access control.

• Develop and maintain a data catalog and corporate glossary.

• Ensure visibility on the origin, transformation, and consumption of data (data lineage).

• Promote standardization of definitions and concepts.

• Define and monitor quality indicators.

• Implement practices for data profiling, continuous validation, and anomaly detection.

• Engage in structured problem resolution regarding quality issues.

• Establish and support the Data Ownership model (Data Owners and Data Stewards).

• Define roles, responsibilities, and governance workflows.

• Act as a liaison between business areas and technical teams.

• Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.

• Conduct training sessions and engagement initiatives.

• Support internal and external audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid experience in Data Governance with practical involvement (policies, catalog, quality, compliance).

• Experience in environments with high data volume and complexity.

• Background in implementing governance integrated with the data platform.

• Proficiency in data catalog and metadata management tools.

• Knowledge of data quality tools and practices, data profiling, and data lineage.

• Understanding of data architecture (Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouses).

• Familiarity with data formats such as Parquet and Iceberg.

• Experience in AWS environments (DataZone, Lake Formation, Glue, Athena, EMR, MWAA, S3, Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM).

• Knowledge of data management and architecture practices (Data Mesh, Data Lake, Medallion Architecture).

• Experience with data pipelines and code versioning.

• Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• In-depth knowledge of governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM).

• Understanding of data protection legislation (LGPD).

• Ability to translate legal and business requirements into operational practices.
