Global Public Policy Manager, Compute, Infrastructure & Sovereign AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate advancements concerning AI infrastructure, data centers, energy policies, semiconductor regulations, export controls, and national AI strategies.

• Formulate policy positions regarding sovereign AI, access to computing resources, digital sovereignty, and competitiveness in AI.

• Assist in engaging with governments that are developing investment programs for AI infrastructure and national AI initiatives.

• Partner with commercial, product, and corporate development teams to explore strategic opportunities related to public-private partnerships.

• Act as a representative for Cohere in discussions on policies pertaining to AI infrastructure, energy needs, and technology competitiveness.

• Generate policy analyses and thought leadership on trends related to AI infrastructure and sovereign AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in public policy, technology policy, trade policy, energy policy, national security policy, or similar fields.

• Strong grasp of geopolitical technology concerns, AI infrastructure, export controls, or digital sovereignty.

• Capability to evaluate emerging policy trends and determine strategic business impacts.

• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.

• Preferred: experience with semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, energy policy, telecommunications, or issues related to national competitiveness.

• Preferred: familiarity with government AI investment initiatives and international technology policy.
