This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Execute tasks under the Global Logistics Leadership.
• Communicate in English with various international logistics firms to ensure outbound shipments are processed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Act as a subject matter expert, showcasing extensive knowledge of market dynamics, cultural nuances, logistics-related regulations and policies, clearance procedures, and more for the designated carriers.
• Establish relationships with carriers like FedEx and DHL to address delivery issues and identify opportunities for projects and initiatives that foster mutual growth.
• Create innovative and forward-thinking delivery programs and products for the assigned shipping lanes.
• Design new processes and continually enhance existing ones for the specified lanes and carriers.
• Conduct research, collect, and analyze data related to assigned lanes and projects.
• Proactively identify and outline new opportunities to enhance customer service and business processes.
• Maintain TMS vendor rates and routings, lead times, pick-up times, logos, VAT, tracking mapping, and shipping information.
• Investigate lost shipments, damaged items, and track items between customs brokers and iHerb Logistics.
• Seek improvements in processes between the Global Logistics team and both internal and external partners.
• Follow up daily with freight forwarders and logistics vendors to ensure timely transit.
• Conduct audits, adhere to internal compliance processes, review logistics procedures, and assist with contract processes alongside the Leadership team as necessary.
• Request quotes and prepare vendor pricing update reports for the Accounting Department and the management team.
• Manage lead times for assigned lanes, investigating delays with internal teams, logistics carriers, and customs brokers daily to ensure timely shipment flow.
• Attend corporate meetings as required.
• Assist with assigned projects as needed.
• Experience in optimizing delivery networks for direct-to-consumer shipping solutions, enhancing transportation costs, speed, and customer satisfaction.
• Background in an e-Commerce environment with a comprehensive understanding of the D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) landscape.
• Experience in vendor management to ensure successful outcomes for end consumers.
• Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with customer service principles and practices.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Google Docs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and others.
