This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Assist in translating user interfaces for all Chesscom applications (including Chesscom, Chesscom Mobile, ChessKid, ChessKid Mobile, Dr Wolf, etc).

• Contribute to the translation of marketing campaigns.

• Aid in translating Coach analysis and Game Reviews.

• Help with the translation of bot chat for monthly bot events.

• Translate and edit graphical assets.

• Review previously submitted translations to ensure they meet high-quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in both English and German.

• Demonstrated professional experience in translating complex texts between English and German.

• Outstanding linguistic expertise, with a strong understanding of language theory and structure.

• Basic skills in graphic editing.

• Proven knowledge of chess with a comprehensive understanding of its terminology.

• Excellent communication abilities, demonstrating a high degree of responsiveness and the capability to collaborate effectively on platforms such as Slack.

• Established ability to work efficiently and meet stringent deadlines, occasionally requiring a turnaround time of 24-48 hours (which may include weekends and holidays).
