This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Edit extensive volumes of machine-translated marketing content to guarantee precision, fluency, and overall quality.

• Transcreate marketing messages to maintain the intended meaning, tone, and brand personality in the local market language.

• Provide high-quality launch content for products while ensuring consistency across various materials.

• Localise content for the target market while adhering to the brand’s tone of voice, messaging, and inclusive writing standards.

• Review and amend copy during the final in-situ validation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and uniformity.

• Craft creative copy and headlines for selected materials, including English back-translations of localised headlines.

• Investigate product and technical details, collaborating with cross-functional teams, project managers, and editors to ensure accuracy.

• Remain updated on market trends, cultural shifts, and socio-political developments that may influence copy and localisation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in the local-market language.

• Strong command of English, with the capability to discuss creative and linguistic choices clearly and confidently.

• Background in copywriting, translation, and technical writing, preferably within the technology or consumer electronics sectors.

• Experience in post-editing machine translation.

• Excellent creative writing abilities with the capacity to adjust tone and style for diverse audiences.

• Skill in translating marketing content while maintaining brand voice and messaging.

• Familiarity with technical writing principles and the ability to convert complex technical terminology into accessible language.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong time management and prioritisation skills, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide constructive feedback.

• A flexible and adaptable mindset when project briefs, processes, or deadlines shift.

• Knowledge of machine translation systems and quality evaluation is advantageous.
