General Foreman

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for aiding in the leadership of mechanical installations for parcel conveying systems.

• Plan and coordinate the activities of the crew under their supervision while motivating them to perform the work safely, accurately, and efficiently.

• Support the Superintendent in overseeing and directing the mechanical crew.

• Step in for the superintendent and adhere to the plan during the superintendent’s absence.

• Capable of leading a crew of 5-10 individuals within their designated work area and/or on small projects.

• Comprehends the Scope of Work (SOW) and identifies additional tasks to report to the superintendent.

• Recognize safety hazards that may affect themselves or other employees and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or reduce risks.

• Offer technical assistance to vendors, field installation teams, and engineering subcontractors in relation to inquiries.

• Assess field conditions to identify issues, inaccuracies, and potential cost-saving measures that may arise, taking corrective actions as necessary.

• Capable of reading and interpreting plans and specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, ideally within the conveyor systems sector.

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

• Knowledge of:

• · Power transmission equipment.

• · Steel fabrication.

• · Microsoft Office.

• Ability to:

• · Read, comprehend, and implement customer specifications.

• · Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

• · Execute detail-oriented tasks yielding above-average results.

• · Organize and prioritize a variety of tasks efficiently and in a timely manner, manage personal workload, participate in setting priorities, and meet critical deadlines.

• Willingness to travel for periods ranging from 9 months to 3 years to various locations.
