This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the civil self-perform team and oversee subcontractor performance across a range of projects.
• Propel project execution focusing on productivity, costs, and timelines for both civil self-performed and subcontracted sites.
• Plan, lead, and coordinate all project execution activities.
• Organize, schedule, and coordinate civil operations at project locations.
• Assist with pre-construction activities, including meetings, site visits, and project initiation.
• Guide and mentor Construction Managers, Associate Construction Managers, Superintendents, and other promising talent.
• Take part in interviews and support the hiring, training, and mentoring processes for civil self-perform roles.
• Conduct risk analysis, management, and mitigation strategies for civil self-perform field personnel.
• Engage in monthly project evaluations and status meetings with project teams and clients.
• Collaborate with the VP of Field Operations on civil staffing strategies.
• Ensure that civil self-perform and subcontracted teams meet performance standards.
• Support construction activities in line with design, budget, and timelines.
• Collaborate with Safety leadership on safety initiatives and quality control measures.
• Oversee multiple large civil self-perform solar projects.
• Assist with hiring and performance management related to craft positions.
• Support planning and utilization of equipment.
• Aid in project closeout and commissioning activities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of leadership experience in self-perform civil projects.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of civil solar construction and project execution.
• Capability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination capabilities.
• Proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office applications.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• SWPPP training is necessary.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time.
• Expected travel (~75%).
