This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.
• Execute comprehensive game localization and translation for a premier mobile gaming account.
• Adapt in-game user interface, narratives, character dialogues, and promotional content.
• Conduct linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA).
• Refine narratives and modify content for cross-cultural relevance.
• Engage in creative brainstorming sessions with game development teams.
• Complete necessary processes including information verification, NDA signing, qualification sample testing, and onboarding procedures.
• Commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.
• Proven experience in game localization.
• Native or near-native proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in the Simplified Chinese to English language pair.
• At least one of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent substantial translation training); 2+ years of translation experience alongside a college degree; 5+ years of translation experience without a degree; or a translation certification from an appropriate governmental authority.
• Capability to work during core business hours.
• Availability for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement.
• Capability to complete a brief unpaid qualification assessment test.
• Experience in gaming translation and localization, including familiarity with gaming genres, client lists, and estimated word counts.
• Submission of the latest CV is required.
• Possibility of extension for long-term collaboration.
