This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Conduct data collection and research, including monitoring all types of funding sources.
• Create letters, fact sheets, and various informational materials about IIRR and its projects and programs aimed at potential donors.
• Review and edit letters of intent and grant proposals for accuracy and clarity.
• Assist in updating and managing the IIRR donor database.
• Investigate potential major donor prospects and aid in donor outreach and cultivation efforts.
• Research potential donors and develop comprehensive donor profiles.
• Compose communications such as new donor mailings, appeals, and thank-you letters.
• Maintain online donation platforms and ensure they are current.
• Provide support in grant proposals through research and writing assistance.
• Help other departments and interns achieve their tasks as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field (must be completed prior to the start date of the internship).
• Highly organized, dependable, and self-driven.
• Approachable and responsive to inquiries.
• Innovative, resourceful, and enjoys tackling challenges.
• Excellent writing abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Exhibits curiosity, creativity, and a boldness in proposing new ideas.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Capable of meeting deadlines while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Applications at an intermediate level.
