Functional Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Convert business requirements into clear and functional specifications.

• Outline the “how” from a functional standpoint to ensure consistent expectations among business, product, and technology teams.

• Develop and update functional documentation for ongoing projects.

• Generate functional documentation for existing products that currently do not have it.

• Oversee and assist QA teams in the creation and validation of test cases.

• Confirm that test cases encompass the functional scenarios outlined in the requirements.

• Actively participate in shaping product roadmaps.

• Recommend product enhancements based on market trends, user needs, and best practices.

• Create and sustain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, user manuals, and other pertinent materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields.

• At least 3 years of experience in a Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar position.

• Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).

• Experience in collaborating with multiple product teams at the same time.

• Proficient in requirements elicitation and analysis techniques.

• Skilled in functional documentation (user stories, use cases, workflows, diagrams).

• Basic knowledge of QA processes and functional validation.

• Familiarity with digital product market trends and emerging technologies is a bonus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Initiative in identifying functional gaps and proposing enhancements.

• Ability to collaborate and adapt within multidisciplinary teams.

• Product-focused mindset with an emphasis on continuous improvement.

• Advanced proficiency in English and/or Portuguese (preferred).
