Fullstack Developer, Rancher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Full Stack Developer on various technical initiatives.

• Conduct essential code reviews, recommend system architecture, and choose modern solutions across Test (TST), Homologation/Staging (HML), and Production (PRD) environments.

• Create, refactor, and enhance systems utilizing Java (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, OpenLiberty) and Angular.

• Ensure thorough resolution of bugs at their root cause.

• Maintain the health and resilience of production environments through observability, JVM tuning, and troubleshooting within Kubernetes clusters managed by Rancher.

• Focus on failure prevention and prediction (SRE), capacity management (Requests/Limits), container health, and efficient database purging.

• Spearhead system obsolescence efforts, vulnerability mitigation and fixing (AppSec), and optimize Docker images in CI/CD pipelines.

• Integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance development speed, refactoring, and test automation.

• Collaborate within a technical squad dedicated to software engineering, agile methodologies, SRE, and DevSecOps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in code analysis, refactoring, and system architecture.

• Proficient in Java (Back-End) and Angular/TypeScript (Front-End), with support for legacy technologies (JavaScript/jQuery/HTML).

• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and OpenLiberty/Jakarta EE.

• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher (troubleshooting, monitoring, and governance).

• Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and resilience patterns (circuit breakers, retries, graceful shutdown, rate limiting).

• Advanced expertise in Oracle/SQL (queries, procedures, performance, purging).

• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps tools: Git, GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Trivy, Snyk.

• Working knowledge of SRE culture, agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and ITIL.

• Preferred: certifications such as Kubernetes CKAD/CKA, Java, Spring, Rancher, DevSecOps.

• Preferred: familiarity with DataStage (data modeling and engineering).

• Preferred: experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Preferred: experience with AI applications in software engineering (Copilot, code generation/analysis).
