Full Time Virtual Teacher, Social Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours daily on all scheduled instructional days.

• Develop an engaging and well-structured virtual classroom environment.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction, identify learning gaps, and modify teaching methods.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Keep accurate student records to ensure that students and families remain informed and on track.

• Foster relationships with students and their families through proactive communication.

• Collaborate with educational partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field.

• Valid state teaching license in Montana or Kansas.

• Social Science endorsement for grades 6–12.

• Experience in teaching in both virtual and/or in-person environments.

• Comfort with the requirements of a live online classroom.

• Capability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual teaching tools, and standard productivity software.

• Proficiency in interpreting student performance data and adjusting live instruction accordingly.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational, self-management, and time management abilities.

• Capacity to independently handle a complete student caseload in a remote setting.

• Dedication to professional development, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K–12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.

• Willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
