Full Stack Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop technical solutions that are reliable, resilient, scalable, and high-performing.

• Write code (frequently with AI support) to create high-quality, readable, testable, and maintainable software.

• Engage in code reviews and design discussions.

• Introduce new features and services to our customers, ensuring a top-notch customer experience.

• Collaborate with product managers and your engineering team to estimate work and explore development options.

• Promote a culture of security and implement security best practices throughout Rhino + Jetty’s codebase.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in developing production-grade, high-volume software systems.

• Professional coding experience (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Python, JavaScript, React) with an eagerness to recommend and adopt new technologies as needed.

• Full-stack experience or a willingness and capability to learn across the entire stack.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance your engineering efforts (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex).

• Knowledge of server-side concepts (microservices, caching, performance, monitoring, and scalability).

• Familiarity with modern databases (e.g., Postgres) and appropriate application-side data modeling.

• Proficiency with modern source control tools (git + GitHub).

• Understanding of CI/CD build and deployment tools (e.g., GitHub Actions; Semaphore).

• Acquaintance with AWS cloud technologies (e.g., ECS, S3, RDS, etc.).

• Willingness to become a domain subject matter expert in a highly regulated industry.

• A sense of enthusiasm, curiosity, and the adaptability to excel in a start-up environment characterized by constant change and growth.

• Capability to leverage AI tools and your own creativity to address new challenges.
