This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collaborating with your team to develop new features aimed at our most impactful enterprise customers
β’ Contributing to initiatives for platform scaling
β’ Regularly meeting with Product and Design teams to refine requirements
β’ Participating in agile ceremonies to assist your team in planning and executing their tasks
β’ Working across squads to enhance Engineering practices at Calendly
β’ Reviewing implementation strategies and pull requests from your colleagues
β’ Mentoring and coaching fellow team members
β’ 4-6 years of professional experience in software development within a SaaS or technology-driven setting.
β’ Strong, practical full-stack engineering capabilities, with the capacity to independently design, build, and deploy production changes across both frontend and backend systems
β’ Experience in building and maintaining Node.js services that interact with distributed APIs, LLMs, or similar mixed-stack environments.
β’ Practical experience with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), microservices, and participation in modernization initiatives or large-scale refactoring of monoliths.
β’ Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features from inception to completion, encompassing technical discovery, design, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for dissecting complex systems, identifying root causes of issues, and delivering scalable, maintainable solutions.
β’ Commitment to producing clean, reliable, and maintainable code, prioritizing readability, simplicity, and performance.
β’ Flexibility in adapting to new technologies, evolving architectural patterns, and shifting organizational priorities.
β’ Experience utilizing AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) as productivity tools, with a clear understanding of generated code and the ability to justify implementation choices.
β’ Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to critical production issues outside of regular working hours.
β’ Authorized to work legally in the United States, as Calendly does not currently provide immigration sponsorship.
