Full Stack Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with your team to develop new features aimed at our most impactful enterprise customers

• Contributing to initiatives for platform scaling

• Regularly meeting with Product and Design teams to refine requirements

• Participating in agile ceremonies to assist your team in planning and executing their tasks

• Working across squads to enhance Engineering practices at Calendly

• Reviewing implementation strategies and pull requests from your colleagues

• Mentoring and coaching fellow team members

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6 years of professional experience in software development within a SaaS or technology-driven setting.

• Strong, practical full-stack engineering capabilities, with the capacity to independently design, build, and deploy production changes across both frontend and backend systems

• Experience in building and maintaining Node.js services that interact with distributed APIs, LLMs, or similar mixed-stack environments.

• Practical experience with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), microservices, and participation in modernization initiatives or large-scale refactoring of monoliths.

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features from inception to completion, encompassing technical discovery, design, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for dissecting complex systems, identifying root causes of issues, and delivering scalable, maintainable solutions.

• Commitment to producing clean, reliable, and maintainable code, prioritizing readability, simplicity, and performance.

• Flexibility in adapting to new technologies, evolving architectural patterns, and shifting organizational priorities.

• Experience utilizing AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) as productivity tools, with a clear understanding of generated code and the ability to justify implementation choices.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to critical production issues outside of regular working hours.

• Authorized to work legally in the United States, as Calendly does not currently provide immigration sponsorship.
