This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

• Create, code, test, and debug applications by utilizing contemporary programming methodologies.

• Work collaboratively with senior developers and technical teams to enhance software development projects.

• Acquire and implement tools and technologies, including AI resources, Git, version control, JSON, and testing instruments.

• Aid in the upkeep of code documentation and version control protocols.

• Support Agile development approaches and get involved in sprint planning and evaluations.

• Participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting for development issues.

• Contribute to team goals and assume additional duties as required.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Academic or project-related experience in software development, object-oriented programming, or web development.

• Proficient in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.

• Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs and/or SQL (all three are preferred).

• Familiarity with AI tools that enhance coding, testing, and CI/CD workflows.

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

• Awareness of version control principles and software development lifecycle practices.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.

• Capability to function in a multi-stakeholder, Agile, and DevSecOps environment.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.

• Exposure to Git and version control systems.

• Experience with JSON and API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.

• Familiarity with Jira or other Agile project management applications.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Federal Government clearance (VetsEZ will provide assistance with this process).
