This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Create, sustain, and enhance UI components and primitives that drive Dropbox’s design system, facilitating scalable and consistent product development.
• Design and develop AI-driven tools and agent-assisted workflows that expedite design-to-code processes and boost developer productivity.
• Collaborate closely with designers to convert design vision into high-quality, reusable code, while also influencing how AI can support or automate aspects of this workflow.
• Contribute to the architecture and strategy of AI-centric UX development, encompassing the integration of LLMs, agents, and automation into internal tools.
• Prototype and implement new ideas that investigate the future of design systems.
• Promote accessibility and inclusivity by incorporating WCAG standards and best practices into both components and AI-enhanced workflows.
• Produce clear, scalable documentation for both human and AI users (e.g., enabling agents to effectively utilize the design system).
• Engage in code reviews, design evaluations, and technical discussions to continually elevate the quality standard.
• Diagnose and resolve issues from internal teams, enhancing system reliability and usability.
• Propel experimentation and assessment of emerging AI technologies, translating findings into actionable enhancements in tools and workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in front-end development, including contributions to or maintenance of a design system or shared UI platform.
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with extensive experience in modern frameworks (e.g., React) and component-driven development.
• Proven experience in constructing scalable, maintainable front-end architecture for complex applications.
• Practical experience in integrating or developing with AI/ML-powered tools (e.g., LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or automation pipelines) within a development workflow.
• Comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and the implementation of these in reusable systems.
• Established ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners (design, product, engineering) and to communicate technical concepts clearly.
