Frontend Engineer – Music

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the Spotify Rights Center web application utilized by music labels, publishers, and other rightsholders to oversee how their content is displayed on Spotify.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to provide intuitive and high-quality user experiences.

• Create intricate workflows that accommodate large datasets, territory-specific permissions, and multi-step procedures for managing rights and disputes.

• Connect frontend systems with various backend services to ensure scalable and reliable data flows.

• Write efficient, accessible, and thoroughly tested frontend code using contemporary development methodologies.

• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and refine APIs that meet the product's requirements.

• Participate in product discovery and ideation alongside engineers, researchers, and product specialists.

• Assist in enhancing engineering practices and promote robust frontend architecture and quality standards.

• Foster a collaborative team atmosphere that encourages learning, experimentation, and growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building modern web applications using TypeScript and React or a similar framework.

• Proficient in managing complex application state and data flows.

• Experienced in integrating frontend systems with APIs such as REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.

• Solid understanding of designing responsive interfaces that gracefully handle loading states, pagination, streaming data, and error management.

• Deep commitment to creating intuitive and accessible user experiences.

• Background in building enterprise or B2B applications featuring complex workflows, permissions, and large datasets.

• Capability to write high-quality code and validate it using modern testing methodologies such as unit, integration, or end-to-end testing.

• Willingness to take ownership of solutions from requirements through deployment and iterating based on user feedback.

• Enthusiasm for learning new domains and problem spaces, and collaborating with teammates to tackle meaningful challenges.
