Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of frontend features from start to finish, ensuring a high-performance experience with intricate crypto tax data.

• Enhance, refactor, and elevate the current frontend codebase.

• Implement essential new features for a high-performance interface that manages extensive datasets and complex DeFi reconciliations.

• Collaborate across a modern React web application along with a distributed data-processing backend.

• Expand the scope to include a React Native mobile application in the future.

• Produce high-quality code and make judicious architectural choices.

• Set a precedent and elevate the standards for the frontend team by leading by example.

• Partner closely with Product and Design, serving as the primary frontend liaison for Product.

• Assess ideas from a technical standpoint and propose innovative solutions.

• Take charge of frontend strategy and product outcomes.

• Guarantee dependable cross-browser functionality and pixel-perfect visual accuracy.

• Over 8 years of experience specializing in complex, data-intensive web applications.

• Profound understanding of modern, intricate web application architecture and scalable design methodologies.

• Exceptional attention to detail and advanced skills in frontend styling.

• Consistent cross-browser behavior and pixel-perfect precision.

• Proficiency with AI development tools such as Claude, Codex, and Cursor.

• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript.

• Extensive experience with React, including React internals, performance optimization, and contemporary tooling.

• Production-level expertise with React 19 and React Compiler.

• Strict adherence to modern TypeScript practices.

• Familiarity with TanStack Router, Query, and Table.

• Experience with Radix UI and Mantine.

• Proficient in Tailwind CSS v4, class-variance-authority, and tailwind-merge.

• Knowledge of Vite, Vitest, Playwright, Storybook, and Chromatic.

• Experience with Highcharts and Sentry.

• Familiarity with Bun, oxlint, and Biome.

• Experience with csv-parse, xlsx/SheetJS, and node-html-parser.

• Knowledge of blockchain libraries, RabbitMQ, and Redis/ioredis.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Heroku, GitHub, and JIRA.

• Must reside in Europe / EU or UK timezones; applications from outside Europe will not be considered.

• Background check required prior to joining.

• Preferred: Experience with React Native mobile applications.

• Preferred: Public GitHub or a similar project portfolio.

• Preferred: Background in financial products.

• Preferred: Experience with blockchain and crypto technology.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Ruby.

• Preferred: Understanding of DeFi protocols and on-chain operations.

• Preferred: Knowledge of the Koinly product.
