Front-end Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the development of frontend features, ensuring both completion and quality are prioritized.

• Proficient knowledge and extensive experience with the Shopify eCommerce platform.

• Capability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team to maintain a high standard of quality.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively articulate issues to clients, developers, and product managers.

• Exceptional attention to detail to identify problems within acceptance criteria, edge cases, and other potential concerns.

• High-level decision-making skills to balance code quality, issues, and timely code releases.

• Plans and delegates tasks to other members of the engineering team as necessary.

• Proactively identifies risks and proposes solutions.

• Transforms complex requests into actionable solutions and tasks.

• Collaborates closely with the client to comprehend their business requirements, use cases, and product roadmap for informed decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level development experience with frontend frameworks such as Liquid, Javascript, React, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, REST, and Git.

• Strong understanding of Shopify development, including themes, APIs, apps, functions, and extensions.

• Experience with JIRA/Confluence or other ticket management systems.

• 3-5 years of experience in the eCommerce sector.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

• Proficient in writing technical documentation and presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

• Comprehensive knowledge of web performance, web accessibility, data querying, API request handling, component structure, and design systems.

• Deep understanding of user behaviors and marketing principles in eCommerce.

• Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies.

• Expertise in software documentation and technical writing.

• Validates project estimates and strategies for all assigned work.

• Mentors and leads engineers within the project team.

• Exhibits a high level of personal productivity.

• Capable of managing commitments across multiple projects.
