Freelance Writer – Afrikaans

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Write a short story consisting of approximately 6,000 words.

• Provide a concise plot outline for approval prior to drafting the story.

• Craft the story within a specified genre according to your chosen preference.

• Complete the project within the designated timeline.

• Revise the work as necessary based on feedback received.

• Produce high-quality narrative content to assist in testing and enhancing Machine Translation technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in South Africa.

• Possess native-level fluency and exceptional writing abilities in Afrikaans, including strong grammar and spelling skills.

• Have working proficiency in English, as communication and guidelines will be provided in English.

• Hold a degree in Literature or Creative Writing, or have demonstrated experience in writing or content creation.

• Preference will be given to candidates with published works and/or high-quality writing samples in relevant genres.

• Capable of writing in one of the designated genres: Kids, Thriller/Mystery, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Self-help, Romance, or Memoir/Biography.
