Freelance Video Editor – Social Ads

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You don’t merely compile footage — you craft visual narratives that persuade within moments.

• Create high-impact video advertisements for platforms such as Meta (Instagram/Facebook), TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Snapchat.

• Edit and remix raw content (UGC, creator material, stock footage) into effective direct-response videos.

• Design the beginning of a video to instantly capture attention (pattern interrupts) and enhance viewer retention.

• Instead of providing a single video, you generate multiple versions to test various hooks, music, or calls to action.

• Quick cuts, dynamic zooms, and suitable sound design guarantee a high information density without losing the audience.

• Incorporate native captions, text overlays, and subtle motion graphics that seamlessly blend with the platform.

• You don’t just follow instructions — you contribute your own ideas to enhance the visual impact of concepts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro with a solid foundational understanding of After Effects.

• Experience with CapCut is highly desirable (for an authentic social-native aesthetic).

• You have a clear understanding of how TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts function.

• Terms like pattern interrupt, hooks, and native captions are second nature to you.

• You edit with a focus on performance, not just for a showreel.

• An innate sense of timing, music edits, and dynamics.

• You are organized and efficient, even when juggling multiple variations or iterations.

• You can blend authentic UGC/RAW style with brand standards.

• An interest in AI tools (e.g., auto-captions, voiceover, generative tools) and current social media trends.

• You think proactively, share your ideas, and take ownership of the output — beyond just individual edits.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Photoshop/Figma (for creating simple assets) or basic skills in camera and lighting for content production.
