Freelance Question Reviewer – General Surgery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Validate market research and provide consultation on practice patterns, study methods, challenges, and certification pathways.

• Assess LLM-generated draft questions, encompassing stems, answer options, and explanations, for clinical accuracy, relevance to board exams, and overall item quality.

• Identify inaccuracies, outdated content, flawed distractors, or absent high-risk material.

• Utilize clinical expertise to enhance and validate market data while advising on scope of practice and prevalent challenges.

• Engage in practical work on the general surgery board exam Qbank using the AMBOSS platform.

• Optionally conduct brief educational sessions on surgical clinical decision-making or conventions related to board-exam questions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified, US-trained, practicing general surgeon.

• Medical degree (MD/DO).

• Completion of US general surgery residency training.

• ABS certification is mandatory.

• Current or recent practice in general surgery in the US within the last 2 years.

• Familiarity with the ABS Qualifying/Certifying Exam content outline, contemporary exam style and format, as well as current US clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.

• Capacity to collaborate asynchronously with a quick turnaround.

• Ability to differentiate between board-relevant or clinically valuable content and non-essential subspecialty details.
