Freelance Question Reviewer, Anesthesia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with the expansion of AMBOSS's specialized content for anesthesia.

• Participate in the discovery phase for a new specialty board exam question bank.

• Validate market research findings, practice trends, study habits, pain points, and certification pathways.

• Review draft questions, answer options, and explanations generated by LLM for clinical accuracy, relevance to board exams, and quality of items.

• Identify inaccuracies, outdated information, flawed distractors, and any missing high-risk content.

• Utilize clinical expertise to refine and validate market data, providing guidance on the scope of practice.

• Engage in hands-on tasks related to the anesthesia board exam question bank on the AMBOSS platform.

• Optionally conduct brief educational sessions on anesthesia clinical decision-making or conventions of board exam questions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical degree (MD/DO) with completed residency training in anesthesiology in the US.

• Certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) is required.

• Current or recent clinical practice in anesthesiology in the US within the last two years.

• Familiarity with the ABA exam content outline, current exam format, and applicable US clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.

• Ability to collaborate asynchronously with quick turnaround times.

• Capability to differentiate between board-relevant or clinically useful content and non-essential subspecialty details.

• Experience in medical education, teaching, or item writing is a plus.

• Familiarity with clinical decision support or question bank tools is an advantage.

• Experience in reviewing or assessing AI/LLM-generated clinical content is a plus.
