Freelance Data Specialist, SQL, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Examine the fundamental schema of the WellSky platform.

• Detect primary and foreign keys while mapping intricate relationships involving clients, caregivers, services, and demographic information.

• Produce clear and detailed Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) along with a functional Data Dictionary for future internal reference.

• Convert business requirements into sophisticated SQL queries to retrieve precise datasets.

• Employ Python to streamline data extraction, transformation, and formatting tasks.

• Create clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for operational guidelines.

• Facilitate a handoff training session for staff to ensure they can independently create and manage the reports you design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in crafting complex SQL queries (CTEs, window functions, intricate joins) and developing Python data scripts (Pandas, SQLAlchemy, etc.).

• Demonstrated experience in reverse-engineering databases, schema mapping, and generating ERDs using tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or DbSchema.

• Prior experience with EHR, EMR, or case management systems.

• Specific familiarity with the WellSky platform is highly desirable.

• Capability to interpret non-technical business requirements (e.g., "We need to identify which caregivers are assigned to which clients in this county") into technical database specifications.

• Knowledge of best practices for managing sensitive healthcare information and personally identifiable information (PII).
