Freelance Albanian On-Demand Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Effectively translates messages between patients who do not speak English and healthcare providers or support staff in person.

• Complies with the National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Health Care and the National Code of Ethics for Interpreters in Health Care.

• Must consistently uphold patient confidentiality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of interpreting experience is preferred.

• Possession of OPI/VRI National or State Interpreter Certification, such as CHI, CMI, NIC, CI/CT, VQAS (if applicable for your language).

• Strong knowledge of Medical, Educational, and social services terminology in both source and target languages.

• Completion of 40 hours or more of interpreter training.

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills along with customer service, time management, and basic computer skills.

• Must demonstrate fluency in English and the target language, providing fluency test results as needed.

• A functioning computer that meets specific requirements, a working headset, and a reliable, high-speed internet connection are essential.

• A private, clean, and quiet environment for calls is required.
