
Franchise Business Consultant – Field-based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Offer coaching and guidance to franchisees and the Operations team to achieve both short-term and long-term company and operational objectives.
• Leverage knowledge of restaurant operations and staff resources to provide advice, counsel, and assistance to franchise owners/operators to enhance sales, profits, operating standards, and systems, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Ensure adherence to IDQ policies and system standards.
• Secure and maintain the support of DMA chairpersons and other key franchisee leaders to achieve operational goals.
• Engage with functional experts as necessary.
• Provide support to additional functions as required.
• Effectively implement and execute the Worldwide Operations Business Plan (rolling 1-, 2-, and 3-year plan) for a specific District.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive district-wide business plan (i.e., integrated marketing, operations, training, development, and supply chain strategies).
• When appropriate, establish and implement effective business plans with franchise owners within the district.
• Offer necessary counsel and assistance to ensure the plans include specific goals and strategies that align with ADQ’s Operations and Marketing Plan.
• Provide guidance in developing and managing marketing performance through strategic partnerships with relevant departments, vendors, and franchisees.
• Accountable for positioning franchisees to consistently achieve optimal goals in shift management, food safety, quality, service, cleanliness, repair and maintenance, and atmosphere, as outlined by the Operation’s Business Plan and ADQ’s operating standards.
• Provide impactful advice and counsel to help franchisees maintain optimal financial health.
• Collaborate with appropriate ADQ staff to assist new and existing franchisees in establishing and executing effective development, reinvestment, and renewal strategies.
• Offer support to other departments/functions as necessary.
• May assist with new store openings as required.
• Complete ad hoc projects as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, restaurant management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in restaurant operations.
• 4 or more years of experience in restaurant management (multi-unit/high volume preferred) and/or franchise operations management, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• A clean driving record is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge and familiarity with the Restaurant Industry (QSR preferred).
• In-depth understanding of restaurant operations.
• Proficient in marketing, finance, training, human resources, and development.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Creative thinker capable of swiftly developing innovative ideas across various business units.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey concepts and programs to diverse audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously.
• Relationship-building skills with the capability to foster mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external clients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Willingness to be available and work occasional evening and weekend hours as needed to support franchisee business needs.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Frequent communication (4+ hours daily) via telephone and email.
• Ability to travel overnight for franchisee and staff meetings/visits approximately two weeks per month.
• Must be able to drive an automobile for franchisee and staff meetings/visits.
• May require sitting in a vehicle for up to 8 hours per day while traveling.
• Must be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
• Ability to travel by airplane as needed.
• Ability to stand on concrete or tiled surfaces for up to 8 hours per day during visits to franchisee locations.
• No food or beverage allergies that would hinder tasting products or working in and around a Dairy Queen restaurant environment.
