Forward-Deployed Engineer – Software Engineer, Agentic AI Systems Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.

📋 Description

• Serve as the expert in agentic AI engineering within the Internal Efficiencies team, collaborating closely with fellow engineers, data scientists, solution/product specialists, and customer success leaders to meet user/customer requirements.

• Play a key role in defining agentic AI deliverables from the initial concept through to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality results.

• Utilize agentic AI tools daily to produce code and develop solutions that meet customer/user specifications.

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with all members of the Internal Efficiencies team as well as engineering subject-matter experts throughout Viaduct.

• Collaborate with customer success and solution/product team members to assess user/customer needs and convert them into actionable analytics solutions.

• Achieve deliverables with quality and efficiency, contributing new features to solutions and products, refactoring code, enhancing tests, automating manual processes, and managing various engineering tasks.

• Remain informed about the latest trends and relevant technologies, applying them to enhance our software.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in AI agent development using frameworks such as Langgraph or Pydantic AI, including context engineering (prompts), tool development, subagents, and RAG.

• Familiarity with LLM APIs, including OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini.

• Proficient in connecting to MCP Servers.

• Demonstrated history of using and configuring agentic development and work environments like Claude Code or Codex.

• Experience in integrating AI agents with user interfaces (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, claude.ai, etc.) and custom web applications.

• Proven track record in authoring, organizing, and conducting evaluations, including LLM-as-judge.

• Understanding of observability with platforms such as Logfire or Langsmith.

• Experience in writing and debugging asynchronous Python code.

• Fluency in Business English and an ability to work effectively in an international environment across various geographies and time zones.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field, such as Computer Science.
