Firmware Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will be actively engaged in the firmware development for advanced flash controllers, playing a vital role in shaping the security architecture and introducing new security features.

• Your work will involve creating concepts for data and firmware security and overseeing their implementation.

• You will collaborate closely with our testing team to ensure thorough validation of the security features of our products.

• You will assist in product certifications in accordance with internationally recognized security standards (e.g., FIPS, NIST, TCG, OCP).

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (BSc, MSc, or equivalent).

• You possess an open-minded attitude and enjoy collaborative teamwork.

• While prior professional experience in embedded software development is advantageous, we also welcome entry-level candidates.

• Strong knowledge of common symmetric and asymmetric encryption and signature algorithms is essential.

• Awareness of legal requirements related to cybersecurity (e.g., Cyber Resilience Act) is necessary.

• Excellent proficiency in the C programming language is required.

• Familiarity with microprocessors, embedded system architecture, compilers, and development tools for embedded software is important.

• Experience with certification processes under globally recognized security standards is a plus.

• Knowledge of specific host interfaces for storage devices (such as PCIe/NVMe) is beneficial.

• Good spoken and written English skills are required.
