This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Engage with patients to discuss their benefits, coverage, and financial alternatives.
• Execute tasks related to benefit verification and prior authorization.
• Deliver continuous financial education and support to patients throughout their care journey as an educator, advocate, and liaison.
• Manage patient accounts by acquiring, documenting, and updating personal financial and insurance details.
• Work in collaboration with physicians and colleagues within US Fertility's extensive national network.
• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a medical business office.
• Familiarity with healthcare billing and collections, insurance/benefits, and patient interactions.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting payer remittance advice.
• Capability to distinguish between allowed charges, contractual adjustments, line item denials/reasons, patient responsibilities, co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
• Experience in an OB/GYN office is advantageous.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with departments, employees, physicians, managers, patients, and insurance providers.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to work autonomously.
• Detail-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in computer usage.
• Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• High degree of customer service skills.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
