Financial Analyst – FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of ongoing FP&A deliverables, such as departmental budget-to-actual reporting, monthly close packages, and rolling forecast updates.

• Develop and sustain driver-based financial models for revenue, headcount, and infrastructure cost forecasts.

• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights that inform business decisions.

• Assist in quarterly forecasting cycles and annual budget planning processes.

• Gather planning inputs from department leaders and consolidate comprehensive company-wide perspectives.

• Contribute to materials for the board, deliverables for investors, and executive reporting packages.

• Streamline and enhance recurring finance workflows through the use of advanced tools, scripts, and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting, including a solid understanding of the general ledger, accruals, financial statements, and actuals production.

• Capability to construct clear, auditable, driver-based financial models from the ground up using Excel or Google Sheets.

• Experience in extracting, cleansing, and manipulating data from ERP systems, BI tools, and CRM exports.

• Skill in articulating variance analysis as actionable business insights, considering the audience's needs and next steps.

• 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or a similar analytical position.

• Familiarity with SaaS metrics such as ARR, NRR, CAC, and payback period, or the ability to learn them quickly.

• Comfort in a rapidly evolving environment where planning complexity outpaces team capabilities.

• A genuine interest in AI and developer tooling.

• Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition in a SaaS context is an advantage.

• SQL experience is a plus.

• Experience in enhancing recurring finance workflows through automation, scripts, or AI tools is beneficial.

• Exposure to consumption-based pricing, infrastructure cost modeling, or developer tooling is advantageous.

• Interest in establishing new FP&A frameworks in areas lacking historical benchmarks.
