This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Accountable for delivering comprehensive financial aid information and insights to new, current, and returning students.
• Formulate, negotiate, and finalize financial plans for students in alignment with financial planning policies, procedures, and relevant Federal/State regulations.
• Provide explanations and guidance to students and parents throughout the application process, including verification, addressing conflicting information, and resolving C Codes.
• Advise students on their acceptances and other issues directly related to their financial plans.
• Collaborate effectively with Admission Representatives to ensure exceptional service for prospective students and their families.
• Package assigned students efficiently and accurately, including new, continuing, re-entry, and transfer students.
• Assist students in navigating the financial aid process, including required forms, documents, and procedures.
• Develop financial plans for assigned students that comply with institutional policies and Federal regulations, communicate these plans to students and parents, and clearly explain their rights and responsibilities regarding each source of aid.
• Support students and parents in exploring alternative financing options for any remaining balances after the allocation of eligible federal, state, or institutional aid.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of student files and timely disbursement of aid to students’ accounts.
• Review ISIRs, request missing documents, and carry out all levels of verification and C Code assessments.
• Leverage reports to evaluate student needs, analyze tasks, and effectively prioritize daily workloads independently.
• Exhibit strong customer service skills, with the ability to reassure students and parents while accurately conveying the status of a student’s aid and account.
• Complete all necessary training modules within 30 days of the new or updated module being made available.
• Assist with or undertake special projects as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an associate’s degree combined with 3 years of applicable experience in federal and student financial aid, or 5 years of relevant experience in federal and student aid.
• Required experience in financial aid or accounting.
• Proven experience in customer service and problem-solving.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Competence in delivering small group presentations and engaging in one-on-one interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and make decisions in accordance with established guidelines.
• Proficient in basic computer software (MS Office) and familiar with specialized financial aid software (preferably Campus Vue/Campus Nexus).
