Finance Expert – Quant Research, Systematic Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess quantitative finance tasks and workflows for technical precision, realism, clarity, and internal coherence.

• Determine if the provided datasets, assumptions, constraints, and anticipated workflows accurately reflect practical quantitative research and systematic trading methodologies.

• Spot any missing assumptions, vague instructions, unrealistic constraints, unsupported requirements, and critical edge cases.

• Evaluate whether tasks effectively gauge practical quantitative finance skills rather than merely theoretical knowledge.

• Deliver clear, structured written feedback along with actionable suggestions to enhance task quality and realism.

• Work collaboratively with fellow subject matter experts to calibrate evaluations and uphold uniform quality standards throughout the project.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of pertinent experience for the Researcher Track, or 8–15 years for the Senior Reviewer Track.

• Professional experience in one or more of the following areas:

• - Quantitative Research

• - Systematic or Algorithmic Trading

• - Portfolio Construction

• - Quantitative Portfolio Management

• - Financial Engineering

• - Related quantitative investment fields

• Proficient Python programming skills with practical experience in developing, validating, or reviewing quantitative research workflows.

• In-depth understanding of:

• - Research methodology and bias

• - Data quality and validation

• - Backtesting best practices

• - Transaction costs and market impact

• - Risk modeling

• - Portfolio implementation constraints

• - Quantitative model evaluation

• Exceptional written communication abilities, capable of clearly articulating evaluation choices and professional rationale.

• Outstanding attention to detail, sound judgment, and the capacity to consistently assess work against established quality standards.

• Experience in reviewing research, mentoring analysts, establishing quality controls, or approving technical work is highly regarded for senior-level reviewers.
