Finance Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and assess professional finance deliverables across various operational finance functions, which include:

• - Profit & Loss (P&L) and mark-to-market reconciliations

• - Financial control and month-end closing processes

• - Vendor payments and Accounts Payable (AP) reconciliations

• - Purchase orders and procurement-to-pay (P2P) workflows

• - Comprehensive three-statement financial models

• - Pro forma financial analysis

• - Purchase accounting adjustments

• - Covenant compliance and credit analysis

• - Partnership accounting and profit distribution models

• Examine intricate financial documents such as:

• - Trial balances

• - Purchase and partnership agreements

• - Financial statements

• - Internal memos

• - Email communications

• - Term sheets

• Differentiate significant financial information from irrelevant or misleading details while applying sound professional judgment.

• Review AI-generated financial analyses and evaluate their technical accuracy, completeness, reasoning, and compliance with professional accounting and finance standards.

• Compile executive-ready summaries detailing assumptions, key variances, financial impacts, and actionable recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in non-investment finance functions, covering one or more of the following areas:

• - Financial Control or Product Control

• - Corporate FP&A

• - Technical Accounting

• - Treasury

• - Financial Operations

• - Accounts Payable / Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

• - Commercial Banking Credit

• - Finance for Partnerships or Professional Services

• A professional accounting qualification such as **CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA**, or a comparable certification is highly preferred.

• Solid understanding of **US GAAP** and/or **IFRS**, with additional familiarity with **ASC 805** and **ASC 606** regarded as a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including:

• - Linked three-statement financial models

• - Financial reconciliations

• - Pro forma modeling

• - Scenario and sensitivity analysis

• Capability to make sound financial judgments when dealing with incomplete, ambiguous, or conflicting information.

• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create executive-level financial documentation and recommendations.
