This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Leverage software to evaluate recorded aircraft data and flight information concerning Triggered Events (TEs) and Routine Operational Measurements (ROMs).
• Confirm and authenticate aircraft-specific measurement sets.
• Produce trends in flight operations and conduct special studies.
• Identify hazardous conditions and associated risks.
• Support the ACC MFOQA Program Manager in facilitating the ACC's Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP).
• Promote the goals, advantages, and appropriate applications of the MFOQA/ASAP program within ACC, CAF, and the AF, including AFSEC's Proactive Aviation Safety initiatives.
• Aid the analysis team in crafting, implementing, and maintaining processes that enhance the collection, reporting, analysis, quality control, and visualization of MFOQA and ASAP data, transforming it into actionable insights for identifying, evaluating, mitigating, and monitoring operational hazards.
• Provide expertise on Fighter operational environments, the missions executed, and the maneuvers undertaken during those missions.
• Regularly interact with the analysis team, ACC staff, AFSEC personnel, and units to pinpoint areas of interest; generate analytical products; present emerging trends, risks, and hazards; and disseminate analysis results and corrective actions both within and outside ACC/CAF.
• Collaborate with the ACC MFOQA Program Manager to detect trends and deviations from established procedures and parameters; identify necessary corrective actions.
• Create informative articles, briefings, case studies, cost-benefit analyses, marketing resources, and training materials aimed at stakeholders and designated users across the CAF and targeted bases, focusing on MFOQA and ASAP safety findings, corrective actions, program plans, goals, objectives, benefits, timelines, and future directions.
• Assist the ACC MFOQA Program Manager in determining long-term funding requirements and preparing POM submissions.
• Facilitate MFOQA/ASAP-related meetings, including MFOQA Program Management Reviews, discussions with Sister Services, Aircraft Information Working Groups, System Safety Groups, industry safety forums, and presentations to Air Staff, ACC, AFSEC, and program office personnel.
• Engage in working groups and design reviews to ensure that MFOQA requirements are integrated into any proposed upgrades for flight recorders and other data acquisition systems.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of flight experience as a fighter pilot or Weapons System Operator (WSO).
• Experience as an Instructor/Evaluator/Weapons Officer is highly preferred in F-16, F-15, F-22, or F-35.
• Previous joint, HAF, MAJCOM, or NAF staff experience is advantageous.
• Formal USAF Safety Training is a plus.
• General awareness of the Guard and Reserve components of ACC.
• Military aviation experience and comprehensive knowledge of fighter aircraft operational environments, operating characteristics, standards, missions flown, and maneuvers executed with military fighter aircraft.
• Familiarity with and experience in aviation safety programs, including MFOQA, ASAP, and LOSA, along with operational risk management processes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across all levels, from headquarters staff to squadron operations and maintenance teams.
• Proficiency in analytical and database software is desired (Excel, Tableau, etc.).
