Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Represent Southeast Pipe Survey, Inc. in a professional manner to clients, colleagues, and the public.

• Ensure that all work meets the highest quality standards.

• Complete all safety-related responsibilities, including but not limited to safety training, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the appropriate setup and takedown of job sites.

• Adhere to established protocols to maintain superior quality levels.

• Keep the assigned vehicle in good condition by refueling, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, cleaning, and promptly reporting any issues to the Crew Leader for guidance.

• Based on the weekly work schedule, collect all necessary tools and supplies, including safety signs and cones, ensuring they are securely placed in the correct locations.

• Prepare the job site for safe operations by setting up safety cones, barricades, and signs, distributing door hangers to inform the public, removing cleanout caps to avoid forced sewer backups, and connecting fire hoses, cables, and other necessary connections.

• Assist during CIPP liner installation, curing, and cutout while continuously monitoring safety protocols.

• Oversee the use of tools at the job site and ensure they are returned to their proper locations before departure to prevent loss or theft.

• Safely dismantle the job site for re-mobilization, ensuring the area is left clean and secure.

• Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Foreman or Crew Leader as needed.

• Self-assess personal performance regularly.

• Inform the Crew Leader and/or Field Supervisor when further training or resources are required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

• 1-3 months of relevant experience and/or training.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

• Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.

• Effective verbal communication skills to engage with clients and other employees of Southeast Pipe Survey, Inc. and its subcontractors.

• Ability to perform calculations involving figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

• Capability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

• Ability to understand and execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form with common sense.

• Must have the capacity to enforce problem-solving policies.

• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.

• Flagger Certification preferred.

• Ability to operate equipment, including heavy machinery, forklifts, and bobcats.

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations to ensure safety compliance.
